Arrival and Check In on Hilton Head Island

After your journey to get to your vacation destination on Hilton Head Island, we all want a warm greeting with a smooth arrival and check in process. When we arrive, how we are treated and how well this experience goes gives us our first impression and often sets the tone for our stay.

We want the staff to be happy to see us and excited about our arrival and have everything set and ready to go to make our stay on Hilton Head Island absolutely perfect. Vacation is a happy time and we want to arrive to clean, comfortable and inviting accommodations and to be provided tons of information about where to go, what to see and fun things to do during our Island visit.

Recent visitors have shared their experiences below about their vacation on Hilton Head Island and have submitted reviews so you know who offers the best and most accommodating Hilton Head hospitality upon your arrival to the Island, so your vacation can get off to a fantastic start.

Resort Tours do Not Offer Resort Accommodations

When we booked our Vacationplay.com trip to Hilton Head Island, we signed up to take the timeshare resort tour and assumed we were gonna be staying at the resort they were trying to sell us, but at check in, we were told that we were not staying at the Coral Resorts at all, but at a hotel. We were upset - to say the least - and were told that if they actually put up all of the tour visitors in the resort, there would be no room for the owners to stay there - which made sense. Although we were not thrilled, we were actually overwhelmed at how beautiful the Westin Resort Hotel was and were very thankful to be staying at such a wonderful property at such a great price! We saw the rack rates at the Westin and we paid nowhere near that at all with our vacationplay.com package!

Plan Accordingly for your VacationPlay Late Check In at Hotel

On Saturday February 4, 2012 we visited Hilton Head Island with a VacationPlay.com package we purchased. We got off to a rocky start when we realized that we could not check into our hotel until 4:00 p.m. We were not thrilled but it is routine that most hotels do share this check in time. Other than that, the Vacation Play staff was very friendly and professional and we loved the island and enjoyed every second we spent on Hilton Head.

A++ Arrival Staff at HHGS on Hilton Head

Great vacation from Hilton Head Guest Services. AWESOME hotel near all of the fun things to do and friendly staff at the welcome center greeted us kindly at check in and helped us find everything we needed. They were readily available to give us directions, tips and even helped us get a lot of good deals on activities for the family. Can not say enought good things about the staff at HHGS!!! A++

Misunderstanding About Vacation Accommodations Leads to Beautiful Beach Front Hotel Instead!

We booked a trip through Vacationplay.com and was very excited about the great deal we got.I assumed that we would be staying at the resort that we were scheduled to tour, but when we arrived, we were disappointed to find out that we were staying at an island hotel instead. The friendly clerks at the Hilton Head Guest Services Welcome Center took charge of the situation and apologized for the misunderstanding and explained to us that ALL visitors stay in hotels because actual timeshare owners stay at the resort property. Of course this all made total sense, but we were still a little let down...until we got to our oceanfront room at the Crowne Plaza in Shipyard Plantation...WOW! Great place to stay and wonderful staff at the Welcome Center made everything better! We were even offered a hotel upgrade to compensate for the misunderstanding!!! If you are going to use VacationPlay.com, just know you will not be staying at the resort - but you will NOT be disappointed with the hotel accommodations - I can promise you that!!
